Duckiesss!
28th October 2008
I remember during summer, I went shopping to this strip mall that’s located next to a small lake. I remember earlier this year, the lake looked clear & clean. Towards summer, the lake became green & looked dirty. I do hope that its location (surrounded by retails stores & located next to a highway) doesn’t make it a prime dumping place.
When I was leaving the strip mall, I saw the cutest sight ever: a family of duckies crossing an intersection! Looked like a large extended family of duckies; had several adults & lots of baby duckies. I had my camera phone, but since I drive an SUV & the ducks are short, my camera phone wouldn’t be able to get a good shot of them anyhow. I think the crossing lasted about 5 minutes & held up a few cars. I didn’t mind, since it was such a rare sight. It was amazing that everyone stopped; after all, it was during rush hour.
Since I don’t have pictures of that cute incident, I pulled up some videos.

That is TOO CUTE!!! They’re quite a chilled out family, huh? Not the least bit fazed by all those big cars next to them. And they even got a police car to escort them, LOL! Love the video!!
P/S: Hans is the least destructive of my bunnies. I think it has something to do with his underbite.. sometimes I see him attempting to chew things but then he gives up as he can’t get a good grip with his teeth. That’s why he can have soft beds, tents, towels.. With the other two bunnies, those things will be destroyed in 2 seconds

what a cute and heartwarming sight … really tug at my heartstrings. If this was to happen in Singapore, I think the birds would have been ran over… Singapore drivers are an impatient and reckless lot =p

O I know .. Singapore drivers are scary.
Last time when I was there in December 07, the government was having a campaign to reduce drunk driving.
Too many cars in Singapore nowadays .. I think it’s because of reduced taxes?
I don’t like it.

Yeah I agree Wiffy, if it is in S’pore & M’sia, the vehicles would have flatten them.
I have seen loads of roadkills over our Asian roads and that’s sad. Ippo, your people are really kind towards animals.
